僕の友達や知り合いの男性外国人の中で、日本語ネイティブでないが日本語を上手に話すことができる人は、日本語を話すときに女言葉をしゃべる人間がかなり多い。「ちょっと、それイヤよ」とか、「ねえ、一緒にいきましょ」とか、妙におネエが入っている。反対に、女性外国人は圧倒的に男言葉をしゃべる。「めし、くった？」とか、「それは、だめだな」とか。

この理由は、彼の奥さんや彼女が日本人だったり、彼女の旦那や彼氏が日本人だったりするからだ。とても近い関係にある人が日本語ネイティブだと、日本語がとても上達するのだけれど、言葉遣いが異性言葉になってしまうのだ。
